G4m2 "Betty" aka "Flying Zippo" - Japanese Medium Bomber

  • Good: Climbs fast, pretty fast, can outturn most fighters med alt, 2x20mm gunners, can start from CV
  • Bad: Small bomb load (12x50kg or 4x250kg), cannot take damage

I am not talking about bombing here, because there are many good WB-sites 
of that skill in the web.

G4m2 is a good choice for ack-bombing. 12x50kg can kill medium fieldīs acks and some other targets too. If you run out of bombs, you can always strafe field with your tail 20mm-gun. ;)
It also has good range, so 35% fuel gets you almost to the moon. Betty is best climbing bomber in the game, so you can easily take heading to field next to you and still climb over 10000 feet (3km). You have to remember that if you meet cons higher or same alt than you, you can kiss your butt goodbye, because only couple hits on Betty and it goes down in flames. I use bombing alt 15000 feet (5km), higher Betty loses itīs turning advantage (but is in more safe up there).

Going defence:
Letīs presume that con has noticed dot high (you), and climbs to intercept you. Most logical approach is on your low 6. Now, when con starts to be at the distance d15 or so, start climbing and turning same time (climb spiral).
Climb just a bit and turn slowly. Con follows you. 
Donīt ever let con go under you! If he try that, turn.
Now you must wait until Ottoīs start to shoot con with their 20mm guns. 20mm guns are same model than in Zeroīs two first models, 640 20mm rounds, feeling lucky sprayer? :) 1x20mm is on tail gunner position and 1x20mm is at top gunner position. Be careful that con donīt get closer than d7 or so, because even some pings can kill you. All the time use external view to see cons moves better!
Remember that distance on external view is longer than it is. When con starts to shoot, or comes too close, start to turn heavily. You can ease up the turn for a while to give Ottoīs shooting opportunity to almost stalled target. If con keeps trying to catch you, itīs just matter of time when he gets enough 20mmīs and goes down. :) I found out that turnfight works best at about 10000 feet of lower. But remember, if con comes fast - you are dead meat...

Getting Betty back to ground is hard, because Betty just keeps on flying - conclusion:
Betty is good boom and zoom "ackstar" in furballs. ;) My favourite bomber!
